Filling the void.
Yearning to feel better – to feel like your old self again – you go scouring the Internet looking for ideas that might help.
10,000 podcasts later, you’re still in the same predicament.
Nothing is working like it should.
Looking for a way to feel filled up inside has consumed you for a while now.
It’s been a nagging distraction while you’re driving the kids to school or during the endless meetings at work.
But where to start keeps stumping you…
Guess what? That’s where therapy comes in.
You don’t have to do this alone!
This journey of rediscovery – to wholeness, to peace, joy, and belonging – begins with the support and connection you find right here, comfortable and safe in my office.
Therapy is a space in which you can explore, discuss, and transform your life.
That begins as you share your story, piece by piece.
As you curl up on the couch, we’ll reflect on what’s made you strong.
You can talk with me about which parts of yourself you want to keep and which parts need changing so that you can have the life you want. Let yourself get mad, get scared, laugh, cry.
Here, it’s okay to feel anything and everything. Here, it’s okay to let it show.
No Shame, No Blame
Being listened to with compassion is a transformative experience. But, it’s rarely an experience we give each other in this busy, bustling world.
Therapy is a space in which you get to be truly seen and heard.
In my office, that experience is like a mirror that allows you to see yourself more clearly, to understand yourself more deeply, and to breathe again.
Anxiety decreases and self-acceptance grows.
By the time we’re done, you’ll have found yourself falling in love with that amazing person you see in the mirror.
In my office sits a paperweight that asks, “What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?”
Simply by getting this far, you’ve already succeeded…
When you call me and we talk, you succeed again, each action moving you along in the process of changing your life for the better.
Don’t wait for the first appointment to allow yourself to notice new possibilities. Begin right here and now… and take action!

About Me
Well, I got my Master’s in Social Work at Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, back in 1998 and then got busy helping people.
I worked in hospice care, foster care, and then the emergency department of a hospital for many years before becoming a therapist full-time… and then a mom.
Yup, I’m married, and I’m a mom to two kids – a boy and a girl.
Accepted Just as You Are
In 20 years of practice, I’ve never had a client I didn’t like. (Wait… really????)
Yup, really. (Are you serious? No one likes everyone!)
That’s true. But by the time you’ve decided to come and be brave, work deeply and share your story, make the effort and change your life – the real question is, how could I not like you?
All of us have less than stellar things we do (and I’ve heard them all; I worked in an ER, remember?). But who we are inside, at our core, is the best thing about us – and no one can take it away.
If you’ve forgotten, I can’t wait to help you find that part of you again.

Let me help you remember how amazing you truly are.
